Yesterday, Minister Adolfo Urso visited our Flumeri plant, meeting with workers and unions.
The visit was attended by the undersecretary Fausta Bergamotto, the Chief of Cabinet Federico Eichberg, the Councillor for Production Activities of the Campania Region Antonio Marchiello, and the President of the Regional Council of Campania Gennaro Oliviero, in other words, those who have worked tirelessly, with a proactive and constructive spirit, to the conclusion of a complex acquisition of Industria Italiana Autobus, which today has finally become Menarini again, together with Deputy Minister Edmondo Cirielli, the Honourable Gimmi Cangiano and Gianfranco Rotondi, and numerous representatives of national, regional and local institutions.
This is a special occasion to thank all those who have worked hard to define this important agreement, which aims to re-launch a historic company, a symbol of Italian excellence and tradition, which represents a great opportunity to strengthen Italy on the arduous path of transition to sustainable mobility.
We would like to thank the trade unions and workers who have supported the initiative, even critically, and who will support a long and complex path of reorganisation of a company that, we are certain, will return to full normality and then expand into European markets.
