C’è anche il piano di sviluppo a livello prototipale di un’innovativa gamma di autobus ecologici ‘full Electric’ e ‘Hybrid’ dello stabilimento bolognese di IIA (Industria Italiana Autobus, ex Bredamenarinibus) tra quelli presentati e finanziati dalla Regione attraverso la Legge regionale 14 del 2004 per la promozione degli investimenti nel territorio emiliano-romagnolo. L’azienda di autobus di via San Donato presenta un piano di investimenti di oltre 3,4 milioni (e l’assunzione di 20 lavoratori di cui 6 laureati), con un contributo regionale di 1 milione e 164 mila euro, concretizzando così un impegno preso dal presidente della Regione, Stefano Bonaccini, a sostenere il rilancio dell’azienda dopo la crisi dello scorso anno.
